The methodological guide produced as part of the study "Towards a concerted management of bivalve Chausey" details the method used to build and mobilize a group of local stakeholders on the issue of praire resource management in the archipelago Chausey. The study, financed under the MAIA project, and the European Interreg IV B Atlantic Arc programme, helped bringing elements of scientific knowledge on clam populations and the sustained fishing practices.
Methodological choice by crossing original scientific discipline has been tested. An ecological approach and an social science approach have been implemented in order to cross geographically their results and to identify opportunities for describing and monitoring the interaction use / resource.Knowledge were made, followed by opportunities for interaction have been identified, to keep time the working group mobilized. Interest and limits of the study and global approach are presented. The guide opens the way to finalize the development of these indicators.
