3rd International Conference on progress in marine conservation in Europe
The German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN, section Marine Conservation, Isle of Vilm) will host the 3rd international conference on "Progress in Marine Conservation in Europe 2012" in cooperation with the German Oceanographic Museum. The conference will take place from the 18th - 22nd of June 2012 at the OZEANEUM in Stralsund, Germany.
In continuation of the successful conferences of 2006 and 2009, the conference offers a regular international forum for in-depth discussion of new and emerging conservation issues in Europe and is aimed at a wide range of participants such as policy makers, conservation managers, scientists and inter- and non-governmental organizations.

The conference will be conducted in English and there will be no registrations fees as the Federal Government of Germany sponsors this conference. Excursions, Get-together-Party and Conference dinner are at courtesy of BfN. Participants have to cover their cost for board and accommodation. Due to logistic limitations the attendance is limited to 250 participants and we will proceed at a "first come, first served" basis.
